A day full of surprises

was what we wanted BUT the surprises that we had certainly weren't what we'd planned! From the frozen pipes at the hall when we arrived to the snow that called the crop to an early close.

A very festive look to our early finish.

With all the necessary ingredients for a fun filled festive crop we didn't let a few hiccups stop us having fun with projects, LOs, pass the parcel, prizes and lots of yummy food. Plus a little Christmas shopping for us stash hungry scrappers.

Can you spot your LO?

.......and then there was just two.
We would like to thank everyone for helping to make it such a lovely day.

This'll make you

chuckle.

When Eileen starting to make the Christmas Crop sponsored class from My Minds Eye she got herself
a couple 7"x 5" portrait festive photos. Decided that they would benefit from a little cropping that she didn't do before printing them, then as the LO came together she trimmed them a little more! SO I bet you can already guess what happened, yep by the time she'd cropped them and then trimmed she was left with portrait photos  6 1/4"x 3 1/2" and 6 1/4" x 3 3/4".

We'd hate to deny you the pleasure of cropping and trimming a couple of 7"x 5" photos if that's your hearts desire OR alternatively just bring 2 festive 6" x 4" portrait photos to make your My Mind Eye sponsored class LO.

Here's what's included in the kit: 'Under the Tree' and 'Evergreen' double sided cardstock weight patterned papers plus an accessories sheet of pop out die cuts all from The Merry Days of Christmas range from My Minds Eye.

Check out the My Mind Eye blog for more inspiration and to check out all the gorgeous products.

Crop days at

Create & Co are the best and Novembers crop really hit the spot. Helped along by the ScrapaGoGo shop that was packed full of gorgeous goodies, oh and of course the first mince pies of the 'season'.

There was lots of scrapping going on as well as fair bit of behind the scenes scheming, all in a good cause of course.

This month's crop prize winner was Helen Cole, one of the 'old' Wyverstone scrappers who recently decided to join us here at Create & Co.

It's always a little sad when the crop is over but thankfully there's alway next months crop to look forward to and December's crop is only 17 days away!!

Last minute

essential info
  • The shop will be at this months crop. We would like to remind you that ScrapaGoGo is unable to take cheques.
  • The sponsored class this month is by SRM Stickers and Kirsty has designed a mini book which will require 6" x 4" photos that are suitable for trimming down. This mini book would best suit photos from a single event although photos can be either Landscape or Portrait.
  • The Value Page Kit has been designed by Janice, the price remains £3.00 and will be on a first come/ first served basis as there are limited number available. Please note that there are no alphabets in the kit.
  • As the hall is to be used by the Sunday School on the morning of the 'Through the Keyhole' ScrapaGoGo Day Event it will not be possible for people attending both the crop and the day event to leave their belongings in the hall.
We are all very much looking for to the weekend and hope you are to.

Because sharing is good

right?

Here's a little peek of the project that Kirsty's been designing with this months SRM Stickers sponsors class.

To complete this little beauty you'll need to bring a selection of  portrait or landscape 6 x 4 photos (suitable for trimming down) ideally from a single event.

We might be persuaded to share more later, so leave a comment.

With just

13 days to go 'til crop day, it's time to make sure you've confirmed your place.

We are still waiting to hear from several people, whilst at the same time have people on the waiting list who are keen to come. Given the impact of the increased hall hire costs it is more important than ever that we ensure we have the most scrappers possible. This will ensure that we are able to keep the crop fee at the 'credit crunch busting' price of just £7.50.

We look forward to hearing from you.

As promised

details of our sponsored class for this month's crop.

Well the good folks at SRM Stickers have supplied these seriously gorgeous word stickers, which as they are printed onto clear are very useable for many projects.

Add to that some fab scrapping supplies and you have yourself a tasty kit that's gonna be a treat to work with on crop day.

Janice asked

"Is it wrong to really love pictures of yourself?"

Well here's the story. Once upon a time .............

the lovely Janice meet a young lady called Kirsty. As luck would have it Kirsty a Wise(wo)man turned out to be able to grant wishes of the pixel kind, oh what joy. So with a click and a wave of her magic wand the deed was done and Janice was very happy indeed.

So happy was she that she just had to play with her paper and glue to bring you the tale of Kirsty and her photos so beautiful and true.

The kit (which does not include the letter stickers) and the LO are totally gorgeous. We especially like the way she incorporated this months sketch as well. WTG Janice.

More news on this month's sponsored kit at the weekend so do check back.

By popular demand,

well Jane asked! So sketch LO and Page Kit sneaky peek it is.

Lorraine has kept to the 'feel' of this month's sketch with this LO but without feeling the need to follow it exactly. Of course it has the Lorraine factor.

We think it's blooming lovely.

With this month's Page Kit there's sure to be a happy ending

although you'll have to wait until next time to find out what happens! Create & Co, as exciting as a good book?

***We can confirm that the ScrapaGoGo shop will be at Create & Co this month with many new products and a few special offers. ***

See I told you

to check back soon.

As the daughter of a scrapbooker, Nicola daughter knows better than to come back from a trip without photos! On a recent school trip Nicola's daughter did her proud, photos of the girls and arty shots.

So, what shall I show you next? More sketch LOs or do you want a sneak peek of the kit we're gonna have available?

Thursday, 4 November 2010

Exhausted but happy

is I think how we're all feeling at the moment which probably accounts for the fact that we're a little slow off the mark this month.

So without further delay here is the sketch for November's sketch challenge.

Eileen LO features 2 smaller photos rather than the 2  6" x 4"in the sketch but otherwise has kept her design pretty true to the original sketch.

Lots more to come, so check back soon

Where did the last

week go? It doesn't seem possible that it's over a week since the last crop! We genuinely love to see everyone having a great day doing this fab hobby of ours, so thank you for coming and making Create & Co possible.

The lucky winner for Saturday's crop prize was Dawn Heneghan. Next month's winner, well that could be you.

With the crop just days away

Lorraine and Janice have come up trumps with LOs designed with the Vicki's A Work in Progress hybrid kit that is this months sponsor class.

Lorraine has cleverly removed the white background and replaced it with green cardstock from her own stash, as well as using 3D foam pads to add dimension to some of the element on the LO. Stunning.

Janice's LO is adorable, with the feel that the fishing rod continues beyond the photo with the clever placement of the title.

If you fancy having a go at replacing the white cardstock with coloured cardstock you will need to bring this with you as unfortunately the shop will not be at the crop this month.
