We at Create & Co are already getting plans together for February's crop, not that we're wishing our lives or your lives away but it's just 20 sleeps before crop day!

To complete this month's class LO you will need a suitable photo, Janice use a B&W 6" x 4" portrait photo but the LO/kit would suit other sizes.

As the kit does not include an alphabet some alphabet sticker would be good to bring along, Janice used Making Memories Tiny Alphabet Stickers.

Sadly ScrapaGoGo will not be able to bring the full shop to the crop this month but do have a few SUPER DUPER page kits that are priced very reasonably so you might want to bring a few pennies to grab yourself a bargain!

Janice has used this month's sketch when designing this LO. A nice gentle way to ease you back into your scrapping after the Christmas/New Year break when there never seems to be enough time especially crafting time.

and a handful of patterned paper scraps was all Eileen used to put this LO together. Even the alphabet was left over from several other titles.

Why not dig out a 6" x 4" (portrait) photo, coordinating sheet of cardstock and 3 or 4 medium sized patterned paper scraps. If you tuck them in a baggie with some embellishments as well you be all set to go come Saturday week.

Hello Ladies!

Happy New Year to you all - we hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and managed to perhaps squeeze in some crafty time during the holiday.

The New Year is certainly time to bring in the changes and at Create and Co we are no exception - our new payment scheme commences this month which we are sure you will all agree, will make life much easier and straight forward.

Due to the growing data base, it is now VITAL that you let us know as soon as possible if you are coming along to crop, so that we can extend the invitation to those on the waiting list.

We aim to send out the crop email within 7 days of the last crop (New Year Excepted) and would appreciate you replying by return so that we can give everyone as much notice as possible.

If of course you book a space and then at the last minute you cannot make it, please TEXT 07768 696694 to let us know so that we can again, offer your space to another waiting list member.

More information will be sent in the next few days about January crop, but in the meantime could you please let us know if you are able to come on January 28th. You will be required to pay for January and February crop at this time (£15.00).

We're all going slightly cracker happy, making our crackers for crop which is a mere 6 sleeps away. Now a fiver might not sound like a lot but with a little creative shopping it's surprising what you can get. So have you decided what you're gonna put in your cracker?

Here's the template for the cracker just in case you've mislaid/lost it, the dog chew it up, hubby threw it away or any other scenario cause you don't want to miss out.

Dear Create & Co Member

Well, November crop came and went in such a flash, but what a fabulous day we had! The class was awesome and it was heartwarming to see so many of you trying new skills and enjoying it! It is our aim to bring you fun classes with new techniques and styles to help your scrapbooking and crafting progress to new heights!

As mentioned during the crop we shall be providing a Christmas lunch during our December crop - all paid for by Create & Co and prepared by us, you will just need to bring along your tea/supper as usual. Due to catering requirements we did ask during the crop if you were able to come along and we have attached a list of what we were told. Could you please take a moment to check that we have it correct to what you told us, if it is not, could you let us know straight away - no need to email if we have it right, we will assume that it is if we dont hear from you.

If you were not at the crop on Saturday and are able to make the December crop - please can you reply immediately so that we can add you to the list.

We have a lovely class lined up for December Crop, along with some fun challenges and competitions to bring the Christmas Spirit to the crop!

We had 5 ladies that did not turn up on Saturday, for whatever reason - 2 did get in touch to let us know, but we did not hear from the others and as explained during the crop, we had in fact turned 3 requests down on the Friday evening as we thought we had a full crop. We know and fully understand that things happen unexpectedly but this has happened a few times this year, and as the crop is run on such a tight budget, we really do need to try and sell spaces as much as possible, so we have plans afoot starting in January that hopefully will make this easier for us all. Email will follow shortly regarding these changes.

Dear Create & Co Cropees,

Well, with a decidedly down turn in the weather, cold mornings, dark evening and misty days, there is now doubt it is November and that means we are now in the build up to our November Crop so we need to know if you are coming so that we can get everything organised - could you please reply to this email as soon as possible to let us know if you can make it or not, it would be a great help.

If you no longer wish to receive emails or attend the crop - could you also let us know please as we do have a waiting list.

We are at our usual venue this month, the lovely Pavilion at Martlesham Heath on November 26th.

We have a lovely class for you this month which is being taught by Eileen - further details about this will follow soon.

We hope that ScrapaGoGo will be able to bring the shop along this month - there are LOTS of fabulous new products and ranges in stock and there may be a special offer or two - details will follow as soon as we can confirm.

THANK YOU to Emma for the fabulous class she taught on Saturday.

It was a very popular class and throughout the day there were some lovely cards being made with Emma on hand to help. Let's hope we can persuade Emma to teach again in the future.

Emma.

We're pleased to announce that Emma Joyner who regularly crops with us in the late afternoon/evening each month will be joining us for the whole day and will be teaching this month's cop class.

We asked Emma to share a bit about herself and here's what she said

"I have always crafted, I love making things, sewing, knitting, in fact you name a craft and I've probably lent my hand to it - no arty qualifications, all self taught.

These days I have a well known love of paper crafting especially rubber stamping where one of my favourite techniques is creating unique backgrounds featuring texture, pattern and colour - nothing beats getting nice and messy! Recently I have find myself incorporating these into my scrapbooking.

In Feb 2008, quite soon after the company was introduced to the UK I became a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. I love the quality of the products, especially the coordinating papers, inks and embellishments.

I also help out in a local craft shop, I don't like to call it teaching, more encouraging and introducing the class to new techniques. It makes me happy sharing my passion of papercrafting with others and I'm looking forward to teaching at Create & Co crop."

Now we're into the new month it's time to get the ball rolling for our October crop. We'd like to remind everyone that the crop will be back at Martlesham Heath Pavilion this month and Create & Co doesn't plan on doing any more touring!!!!!!

Not a little but a lot.

Dry embossing is such a cool technique that used in conjunction with vellum and particularly this vellum looks stunning.

Here's the close ups as well

To complete this LO on the day you will need a colour or B&W photo, if you want to keep your photo within the vellum frame like Janice has done you'll need a 4" x 4"photo.

In addition to your basic tool kit if you own an embossing tool it would be handy to bring it along, although there will be some available to use on the day.

We know it seems early to mention Christmas but with only 3 crops to go it will soon be time for our Christmas Crop!

First and foremost we would like to ask you all for your preference for the food arrangements for the day, so that we can all enjoy a special festive celebration together and have some fun.

These are the choices , please select your preferred option from those below and email us back to register your choice , we go with the majority choice.

A. Pub Lunch at The Douglas Bader (lock the Pavilion and go together )

B. Buffet style in the Pavilion (each bring some food)

C. Takeaway , collected by organisers and brought into the Pavilion choice of Fish n Chips or KFC.

We will also be organising some fun elements for the day too , news of this will be announced much sooner to the day.

to everyone who came along yesterday and helped create a fabulous and fun day. We would also like to take a moment to say a big thank you to those of you that couldn't make it for various reasons but kindly sent along donations, popped in to buy a cake and ice cream as well as those that donated funds to purchase supplies etc.

A full break down of the day and money raised will be emailed later today or tomorrow as soon as we have those last few pennies counted and checked. We also have loads of fun photos that are being prepared ready to share too:D

We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight a question and confusion that has come to light recently, as we have so many new members we thought it a good idea to remind everyone of the minimum age of members and why this is set at this age.

As is the case for all orgnised events and groups we have to have suitable insurance, within the regulations of our package we are not allowed to have any children under 12 attend crop as a paying member or visitor (or any of our events). Our public liability insurance does not cover us for children within a teaching setting which the crop falls under.

We did enquire a while back about making the age lower (at 8 years) but this would have doubled the premiums and we felt that passing this cost onto members and customers would be unfair.

We always try our very best to organise and run friendly and inspiring crops and events, even more so for days like yesterday where everyone chips in to create a day with an even bigger purpose and picture. Above all we simply want people to enjoy themselves in the company of like minded people and do our best to achieve that.

Dear Create & Co Member,

As a valued crop member we would like to invite you to join our special Create & Co Crop on August 27th 2011 and help us in raising funds for Give Kids The World (GKTW). We will be having lots of fun with raffle's, challenges and much more besides and we hope that taking a break for ice cream for breakfast will remind us all of the simple joys of childhood and the deserving children that Give Kids The World Village welcomes every day.

GKTW will be celebrating their annual Ice Cream For Breakfast campaign throughout the summer. The response to their fundraising campaign in 2010 was overwhelming, with events taking place nationwide raising more than $60,000.

The village has a very special place in our hearts as Harry was granted a wish to visit in April 2010, he will be coming along to join us for ice cream for breakfast and to share his photos and stories with you all.

The crop will begin at the usual time with 'breakfast' being served at 11:30. Please bring along extra pennies for donations in exchange for delicious treats, cool challenges and super crafting raffles too!

Please note: Crop fee will remain the normal £7.50 per person, however if you wish to 'round up' Create & Co will send the entire £10 to GKTW along with any other monies raised on the day.

First to share a LO based on this month's sketch is Lorraine, who's been playing with June's 'Things to Make and Do!' and July's 'Fun of The Fair' ScrapaGoGo kits.

Lorraine has kept pretty true to the sketch except on her LO she has substituted the third photo for the shield shaped map which if you look closely you'll notice she's draw a dotted line representing the route they took for this holiday.

So July is here and that means just one thing, July Crop details are starting

Lorraine's been digging into June's ScrapaGoGo's kit Things to Make and Do to create this LO featuring photo of the one and only Harry. The LO is true to the sketch and we love the repetition of the number 9, ties it all to together very nicely.

Eileen has used these rather unseasonal photos and the sketch as a jump start to creating her LO. You can still see elements from the sketch but the finished LO looks quite different and indeed this is the beauty of sketches.

As always the sketch with be on the newsletter and the actual LOs will be available for you to have a closer look at on crop day, which is just 3 short sleeps away.

The books rings used are not part of the Value Kit, if you don't have any book rings in your stash it can as easily be bound with pretty ribbons, cable ties or treasury tags.

Nicola has used the 6 inner pages to create alternating journaling/photo pages and for consistency has used B & W throughout but of various sizes. Max size for photos is determined by 6" x 6" size of the mini book.

I was inspired to create this LO about our monthly crop by the Jenni Bowlin Calendar Cards.... it summed it up for me that all year we gather for friendship, scrapbooking and cake.

Where do I begin ??

It was truly such a lovely day , over the past year our little crop has grown and grown , we are a friendly , happy and fun loving group of scrapbookers who just love to get together once a month and really enjoy our wonderful hobby and each others company.

We planned and prepared for our special 1st Anniversary crop and it was made extra special by coinciding with the Royal wedding.

We each wore a crown or tiara and boy were there some fabulous creations, they looked very fetching with our red, white and blue attire and lots of flag waving and celebrating ensued...

We did do some scrapbooking too ! Helen, Queenie, Jane and Sue share their creations from our 'Sketch of the Month' here , all so different but so lovely, thanks Ladies :)

And of course , we feasted on Royal Refreshments and toasted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with a little drop of something fizzy.

And a Fairy Cake , or two.

I know I speak for Lorraine , Eileen and Janice when I say that it is such a delight to be part of Create & Co and share our passion with such lovely crop members ...

Janice has been busy creating with this kit and has cut out a lovely frame from the die cut and tied it all up with a pretty bow, adding a flower made with circles of paper for that finishing touch. Janice added her own Alpha Stickers.

Dear Create & Co Croppers

It was lovely to see everyone last week for our March Crop and no soon had we finished we were busy planning the next! April Crop will take place as advertised on Saturday 30th April - normal place and times!

We do however have a few special treats for you all in the way of a Create & Co Street Party, this will involve some traditonal British fun and edible treats too We thought with the trends of Union Jack Flags and all things Royal for the wedding of the year it would be a great opportunity to celebrate all things British at the same time as having some scrapping fun whilst raising a cuppa to our first anniversary as Create & Co!

May Arts has sponsored our April Crop and Eileen will be designing a great class for you all with something just that little bit different. So we can make sure all our party supplies are in hand it would be great if you could reply ASAP to this email to let us know if you are able to make it along or not on the day.

The sunshine

was a very welcome attendee at this month's crop, it finally feels like spring is here and we can all look forward to longer warmer days and of course our April 'Street Party' crop. Details of which will be appearing on the blog and email in due course.

We were delighted to find that the Church Rooms proved ideal for our needs although maybe a little 'fresh' when venturing out of the main room!!! Perhaps an extra layer when we use the Church Rooms in September might be prudent!

Canvas Crop sponsored class was fab and although we managed to only snap 3 finished LOs there were several as works in progress. We'd love to see and share your finished LOs if you'd like to bring it alone to the next crop.

As for the rest of the day there was plenty scrappin', chatting and drink of tea and coffee. Here's a few shot from the day.

to scrap with on Saturday? Well look no further as we have another gorgeous Value Kit for you this month, the kit includes

12"x 12" Bazzill Cardstock Brown

6" x 12" Bazzill Basic Cardstock Chablis

6" x 12" Crate Paper Pink Plum Very Berry

Plus 2 lengths of coordinating ribbon.

We set Eileen loose with this kit and think that she's come up with the goods. Please note that the letter stickers and self adhesive pearls are not part of the kit.

Eileen used a 1" & 1 1/4" circle punch, fancy edge punch plus small flower punch and has suggested that if you have any of these punches and would like to make this LO it would be helpful to bring them along however no need to stress if you don't cause Eileen has said that she'll bring the punches she used along to the crop.

Please don't forget that this month's crop is at Bramford.

We at Create & Co were all so sad and missed February's crop especially after we thought we had found a solution but you can rest assured that all dates at the 'The Pavilion' are double and triple checked to ensure we have no repeats of this month.

So although never the same we hope that you were able to find a little scrapping time, in what is usually hectic family life, unless you set out the door and head to your crop.

If you managed to get some scrapping done and are able to share your creations with us by taking a photograph and sending it to create&co@scrapagogo.co.uk or linking to your own blog, we'd love to see and with your permission, share.

Plans are in hand for our March crop and we will let you know all the details once everything is finalised.

Decembers crop calendar project.

Tips for making this project:
In each kit there is a smaller teal/larger red card for creating a front/back covers that are attached to the outside of the case.
Top and bottom images are the front and reverse for each month.
Be careful that the cards are in the correct orientation 9cm wide x 9.5 cm high before decorating.
Keep bulk to a minimum when decorating each card as the completed project is a snug fit even minimum bulk.

You'll need two 6"x 4" landscape photos that are suitable for trimming to 3" x 2" or one 6"x 4"

Plus if you don't want the fiddle of creating a frame behind the oversized photo mat you may want to bring along some cardstock, any of the colour in the kit black, white, pink or teal would work.
